Very good information regarding the Panasonic camcorder. I have seen several other Panasonic Digital Camcorders that have an affordable price tag, but still offer great quality with 3 CCD technology and decent optical zoom, something that is extremely important for obtaining clear pictures from any distance.

Yes, with the PV-GS120 you can record on the S-Video port. I haven't used it for that purpose yet, but I double checked with the manual and you can use it to record from an S-Video source. I would still highly recommend the camera after using it for about 7 months now.

BTW, the manual is also <a href="http://www2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/vProdSupportModel?displayTab=R&surfModel=PV-GS120&modelNo=PV-GS120&storeId=15001&catalogId=11017&itemId=68763&displayServiceCenter=true#" rel="nofollow"> available online</a>

I am considering buying the Panasonic PVGS-120, and was wondering if it could be used to copy my exisiting analog VHS and Hi-8 tapes to DV. Have you tried to use the camera for this purpose, and if so, what were the results? I noticed that it has A/V and S-Video ports, but didn't know if they were in/out or just in. Thanks!
